This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Couch Games ("Blue Couch Games," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Clans app and website (yourclans.com) and bluecouchgames.com (together, the "Services"). Blue Couch Games is the operator of Clans.
Information we collect
- Account information: username, email address, password (stored hashed) or sign-in provider identifier, and profile details you add such as a display name or avatar.
- Content you share: posts, photos, videos, comments, reactions and clan details. Content posted in a clan is visible only to members of that clan.
- Device and usage information: device type, operating system, app version, push notification tokens, and diagnostic and crash logs.
- Communications: messages you send to support.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and secure the Services, including sending password reset, verification and invite emails.
- To send push notifications you have turned on.
- To respond to support requests and enforce our Terms, including reviewing reported content.
- To understand and fix problems and improve the Services.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How we share information
We share information with service providers that host and operate the Services on our behalf (for example cloud hosting, storage, email delivery and push notification providers such as Vercel, Google Firebase and Apple Push Notification service), when required by law, or to protect the safety of users and the Services.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the Clans app; when you do, we delete your account and associated personal information, except where we must keep it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information in the app, turn notifications off in your device settings, and request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
